Vintage Fashion Icons

Over the past few years, the world seems to have gone crazy for all things vintage-inspired. From the 1920’s glitz of The Great Gatsby, to the classic, full-skirted beauty of the fifties (think Betty Draper in Mad Men). All around me, I have seen the fashion icons from bygone eras become the standards of fashion and beauty of thousands of women, and who can blame us?! The classic beauty of Greta Garbo, Brigitte Bardot, and, of course, Marilyn Monroe, is undeniable.

When we’re talking ‘Vintage style’ however, there is one lady who could sit quite happily at the top of the throne of classic style icons. It is, of course, Audrey Hepburn.

From a very young age, Hepburn’s films have been a part of my life. Watching ‘Sabrina’, ‘My Fair Lady’ and (but of course) ‘Breakfast at Tiffanys’, I would imagine living a life full of elegant dresses, ballroom dances, and so much romance! Of course, today, life is very different, but I love that the style of those classic eras can remain in our lives.

And so, I have put together this little mood-board of Hepburn style. To show you how easy is could be to replicate the classic style of such an eponymous beauty. From her everyday casual, to ultra-feminine evening wear, her look is something that would work on any shape.
