Summer Style: Maxi Dresses

24/05/2014

I don’t know about you, but this warm weather we’ve been having has got me scouring the web for easy, breezy summer outfits – and none is quite so tempting as the maxi dress. A few years ago, the maxi dress made a huge comeback  and  it’s still here as popular as ever – and you can see why. Maxi dresses can be simple, flattering and easy to style – and you can guarantee there’s one out there to suit any body shape.

And so, in light of this gorgeous weather we’ve been having, I’ve put together a selection of the loveliest maxi dress available on the high street – with three themes – beach casual, summer daytime, and evening style.

Maxi dresses work so well, day or night, and can be chucked into a suitcase for almost any holiday you happen to be going on (unless you’re going skiing – I wouldn’t suggest skiing in a maxi dress – or any dress for that matter!). Simply team with a cross-body bag, some flipflops and a hat, and you’re set!

Anyway, I hope this gives you some inspiration! There are some lovely maxi dresses around at the moment, and the ones I’ve featured start at just £12.99 – who could resist?!

I live in my maxi skirts, but I could never find a maxi dress that fit me right because I always felt like it ate me up since I’m so petite. Great post nonetheless! I’m in love with that white maxi from ASOS

I used to think that they only suited girls who were 6ft tall! Then I saw someone even smaller than me looking amazing in one – I think with the right fit they look just as nice on petite girls! 🙂
I like so many of them – must not buy them all! 😮
