Navy Boyfriend Coat, £37 – New Look
Grey Faux Fur Collar Jacket, £50 – River Island
Blue Boucle Coat, £85 – Warehouse
Belted Trench Coat, £79 – Topshop
One thing I both love and hate about winter is trying to find that perfect winter coat – the coat that is classic, but not boring, and cosy but not frumpy. I’ve always struggled with coats, so many styles just swamp me, meaning I often have to buy coats two sizes smaller than I actually am, if they even look okay at all.
This year however, I’ve managed to find quite a few styles out there that I really like, and that actually don’t make me look like I’ve been swallowed by material. Hurrah!
These four coats in particular are ones that seem to be in contention – hell, I may even buy more than one! Living on the edge and that!
My favourite at the moment is the navy boyfriend coat from New Look. It looks so nice on, and is super thick and cosy – plus it’s currently reduced down to £37 – which I was really shocked at, as it seems such good quality. I’m also very tempted by the fur trim jacket from River Island too – although I think I can probably get away with both, as this one is less of a proper coat as it’s more of a jersey material, but still really cosy, so perfect for some of the milder days we’ve been having recently.
What do you think? Does anybody else struggle with coats as much as I seem to?
