I love Summer as much as the next person, but there’s nothing quite like the joy of swapping out your Summer wardrobe for the cosy layers, knits and boots that Autumn brings with it. When the weather gets cooler, it feels so great to start dusting off all your favourite autumn/winter staples, ready for 6 months of feeling cosy and snug. September and October in the UK don’t always necessarily mean dressing in full winter gear (although sometimes they definitely do!), but it’s definitely the right time of year for layering up a bit. I’m honestly not a big fan of the 70’s trend. But I feel like autumn is one season where you can rock really simple styles and still look super stylish, so I’m going to be sticking more with the basics this year – simple knits layered up over high-waisted jeans, bright patterned scarves, and my favourite – knee-high boots and oversized jumper dresses.
So, for those of you who are like me and not huge on the 70’s trend, I thought I would share some of my favourite staple styles for AW15.
What are your favourite style pieces this Autumn?
