As much as I love the prospect of the New Year and all its endless possibilities, around this time of year I always love to take a look back at what the previous year brought me. And 2014, you were a good’un.
So much happened last year, I could probably write a huge essay of a blog post, but I’ll try to keep it short and sweet. Here are just a few of the things that went down in 2014:
– Three weddings (and two times bridesmaid!)
– Four Hen Parties
– One trip to Las Vegas and New York
– I reached a quarter of a century (wah I’m old!)
– I passed my driving test!
– And bought my first car…
– And got a new (dreamy) job!
– And finally, I went to my first blogging event!
In fact, looking back, I think I did a fair few pretty scary things all in one year, from quitting a job I didn’t really enjoy any more, finding a new job, getting made redundant and then finding my dream job, as well as passing my driving test and learning to navigate the roads as a new driver. I also had an amazing time being bridesmaid to two of my closest friends for their weddings – one a beautiful traditional ceremony here in Somerset, and the other a gorgeous wedding in sunny Las Vegas! Our holiday to the states was amazing, and exhausting – we did so much that we felt we needed another holiday when we came back!
I feel like this year, I spent more time with the people that mattered the most – whether that’s hen parties and good times with some of my best friends, or quality time with my amazing family, or memorable moments with Lee. I had a great year and my only hope is that 2015 is just as good!
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading all about my favourite bits of 2014. What were your best memories of last year?
